“I’ll admit to being a touch skeptical about the idea of full time Forest School, especially in the winter, but with proper clothing it hasn’t been a problem and I’m so pleased we went for it. Even in a short time, Poppy’s confidence has grown and she is excited to go to Forest School every day. She is so proud of all of her activities and tells us about the things she has learnt each day. The site is great and the teachers are so passionate, we are thrilled to be able to give her this unique opportunity to explore the outside world” -

"I've dreamed of putting one of my kids in forest school ever since I read about the concept in a magazine article years ago. But true forest school programs were hard to come by at the time. So what a dream come true when I discovered a program right here in Dulwich. I've eagerly awaited having my daughter turn two, so we could finally enrol!
She's been there only for five weeks, and already, we are so happy with our decision. She looks so happy in her photos playing with leaves, cooking outdoors, and mixing things; she just looks soo happy. I didn't see such big smiles on her face at her previous nursery. Each day when I pick her up, she is covered in mud and just as happy as can be. Like a pig in mud. What better testament is there to the quality of a program for a 2-year-old!
The teachers are engaging, very caring, and give me detailed reports of her day. The surroundings are just lovely, and all that's needed for the little ones' comfort is well thought of. The manager and the team do a great job!"

'My son has been attending forest school a few days a week for about a year, but we were not expecting the impact it would have on him to solely attend a forest school.
In just a few months, we have seen a difference in him. We believe School Outdoors has given him confidence and independence that will put him in good stead for Primary School.
Now when we attend the park, he names the birds, plants and trees, overall, he seems much happier in himself.
I would recommend School Outdoors because I believe the freedom the children are given to learn and explore in an outdoor environment is second to none. The staff are amazing, knowledgeable and very accommodating'.

We’re delighted with UTW and our daughter couldn’t be happier there! Since going here her confidence has reached new levels and she loves sharing all her new found experiences with us.The staffs gentle approach to learning and playing gives her the freedom to be herself and learn in a relaxed and fun way.She is taught how to be creative in the natural environment and it allows her imagination to be free. I love how much latitude our daughter gets to explore for herself, giving her a sense of responsibility whilst still feeling safe. The variety in the landscape means there is always something new to learn and create. I thoroughly enjoy listening to my daughters stories of her day at forest school and I am always so surprised with what she has learnt! she has a real respect and care for the natural environment which has been instilled in her by UTW. The staff are warm, friendly and caring and show great experience In this diverse setting our daughter has formed close relationships with many of the staff and children and she is flourishing in this setting. We are thrilled overall with UTW and are very happy to have our daughter at such a unique setting. There is a great sense of fun and adventure prevalent throughout.
